Word of the day is 'mrah'.

So, it's back to work with me; which involves only moderate amounts of cheerful and entirely too much TIRED.

Sat at my desk blearily, purged two weeks worth of email. (That's somewhere upwards of 2,000 of the little textual buggers. I've become very good at turbo-skimming.)

And learned this morning that there was an important meeting this evening -- down in Paris. Thus did Circumstances preemptively foil my clever plan to be home early so I could welcome C. back from her first post-birth work day. This is why the wise man never underestimates Circumstances.

Not home before half past nine. Glee.

Nevertheless, attending the meeting was worth it, due to the import of the information given there:

The company, as such, will stop existing in its current form within two months.

Dude.

I don't necessarily mind the way things are headed, mind you: change does not have to be a bad thing. Just, that's a bit much to return to work to.

Mrah, I tell you. Mrah.

I hope you are a part of it's new form after 2 months or a better place if that is to be.
Hugs

Seeing as I'm one out of two guys who were explicitly mentioned as making it all work in the one department that's bringing in good money, yes, I would hope so. But time will tell. Things will definitely change a lot either way.

*snuggles* Aw, when was that meeting exactly? My boy and I were staying in the general vicinity of Paris this week-end, this could have been an occasion...

And good luck with whatever will happen to the company, hon. At least some things will move!

Meeting was on Monday evening, and I learned about it on Monday morning. So no worries, the notice was too short to have anything organized anyway. Warm cuddles all the same, on a general principle. ♥

So how's the life in Brussels so far? Also, finished Metroid Prime 3 yet?

Ah well, okay. Still, it'd have been nice as we had time. I'm still around 'till some time this week-end, but I don't think I'll be able to stop by your place this time :(

And Brussels is fine, I keep myself busy with housechores during the day, and I don't play all that much yet. Believe it or not, I haven't even taken the Wii out of its box until this week-end... at a friend's, in Paris.

(I did dream of Metroid Prime 3 stuff last night — some crazy notion of quickly scanning the guy trying to kill me with heavy objects so I could get vouchers I would then send to you — so I think it wants to be played...)

Also, I has piano nowz!!! This is going to keep me busy in plenty of other ways =)

My parents are home anyway, so having you guys over this weekend might be a little complicated to organize, much as the prospect would have made me squeal with happy. :/

Meanwhile, yay for piano! Will have to come and peruse. I do believe I still remember which key to press to emit a C (it's one of the white ones, right?).

Me, last night, I believe it was a dream about EF and my increasingly likely failure to attend, mrah. Suckage.
